The wines of the Canary Islands come with a special sense of place. The grapes come from rofes which are holes carved into the volcanic terroir, to protect from the wind and sun, but also delve deep into the islands mineral core. The grapes are macerated gently in Spanish amphorae for two weeks, and then return to these same vessels to age. This Cuvee has a distinct Canarian nose, and the wine is alive with burnt orange peel, scrubbed herbs and touch of red currant. It's a delightfully savoury option which is as intense as it is wonderful.
