Taking you to unfamiliar terroir and unexpected expressions, a sensory Odyssey to be enjoyed in your own time and place. Some bubbly, some white, some reds, always something new!

1. O2Y 'Nez Ô Bulles' 2022, Rhône, France 
The O2Y project, based in the Jura, was founded by two friends whose different paths in wine converged in a shared ambition to craft complex, place-driven wines with a low-intervention approach. In addition to creating cuvées with Jurassian grapes they also outsource from like minded farmers to create diverse styles. This time they have travelled to the Rhône and transformed a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne into a delicious sparkling. This is elegant and fragrant with notes of green banana, lychee and elderflower shining through. Palate has lifting herbaceous note. 

2. Quinta da Boavista 'Atinado' Encruzado 2022, Dão, Portugal
This estate is set in the picturesque granite mountains, situated central north of Portugal. The project has been organic for over 25 years and João and his wife have dedicated to revitalise the land and indigenous grapes of the area. Here the Encruzado variety has become one of the most sought after varieties. It has this beautiful tension between freshness and the capacity to create wines with a bit more structure and long lived. The 'Atinado' is made with this variety and matured in the traditional chesnut barrels for extra complexity and length. Notes of soft stone fruit, oatmeal, fresh honey and lemon pith come to mind.

3. Wein Goutte 'Schlado' 2023, Franken, Germany
Wein Goutte! is the passion project of former chefs Emily Campeau and Christoph Müller, who swapped kitchens for vineyards after falling in love with natural wine. Now based in Franken, Germany, they farm 3.5 hectares organically in collaboration with the Haßold family at Weinhof am Nussbaum. 'Schlado' is a humorous German expression for those Thursdays that feel endless and brutal. This is a blend of two red 'Piwis' - Domina and Regent - and a small percentage of Pinot Gris. Think dusty black cherry, liquorice and woody spice lifted by herbaceous tones and rosemary hints. Elegant, herbaceous and fun.  

4. Do.t.e. Ok Ok Syrah 2020, Tuscany, Italy
Do.t.e. or Down To Earth is a project based in Cortona in Italy, led by Filippo Calabresi. Alongside a series of other growers who have found the potential of Syrah grown in this area, Filippo is very focused on low intervention farming and winemaking. This Syrah is gently extracted to create a light red with notes of cherry cola, dried pepper, violets and blueberry fruit. Now with a little bit of age for extra complexity.

5. Katla 'Soley' Kerner 2022, Rheinhessen, Germany
Jas is a talented winemaker based in the Rheinhessen creating beautiful intriguing cuvées that follow only her rules, making her own traditions and discovories as seasons go by. The new 'Soley' is one of the most intriguing wines of the year. This has been matured outside for most of the year, leaving the wine to react and develop with the elements. In addition to this the wine did not ferment fully leaving a little bit of a very pleasant residual sugar - this matched with oxidative nature of the wine makes a really interesting combination. A rich amber wine, showcasing notes of smoked orange, ginger and meadow flowers. A gentle flinty edge takes the aromatics to the next level. 

6. Gogo Wines 'La Vida Es Un Carnaval' 2022, Kakheti, Georgia
Keti is part of new generation of natural + female winemakers in Georgia. She learnt to make wine with her dad, a musician who settled in the village of Artana to become a vigneron. Now both their brands and approaches are blended together in the Gogo project. This cuvée is an intriguing blend of white and red grapes, including Saperavi, Mtsvani and Rkatsiteli. These are co-fermented and aged in the tradional clay pots buried under the earth (Qvevris). This is full and rich with unique notes of smoky plums, sour cherry, rye bread and cinnamon.
