Katla Wines Heks 2021, Rheinhessen, Germany
Jasmine Swan runs this exciting négociant project based in the Rheinhessen. The fruit is purchased from like minded farmers and neighbouring villages working in a lower intervention way. Jas always likes to experiment and surprise creating cuvées she believes in rather than following the norm. The Heks is playful blend of red and white varieties (Regent, Pinot Blanc and Riesling) and her take on a 'Cuvée Rötlich'. Bright raspberry fruit blends in with aromas of goji berry and wild mint. Best serve chilled! 

Domaine des Moriers Beaujolais Villages 2021, Beaujolais, France
This Domaine is based in Lancié and the project is led by winemaker Arnaud Combier who is really showcasing the potential of the Beaujolais terroir. Think bright red cherry fruit, parma violets and gentle earthy undertones. 

Meinklang Bläufrankisch 2021, Burgenland, Austria
A great value red from this beautiful biodynamic farm in the Burgenland. The Meinklang wines never disappoint. Think bright red plum fruit, dried herbs and textural rustic tannins. This is medium bodied so can go well with food but also velvety enough to have on its own.

Guillaume Noire Cf Cabernet Franc 2020, Loire, France
Guillaume left a life in advertising to dedicate to farming small plot of land in Rablay sur Layon in the beautiful Loire Valley. This Cabernet Franc elegant, juicy and fun with notes of crunchy blackberries, leathery tones and green pepper spice. 

Podere Anima Mundi Tutu 2022, Tuscany, Italy
Marta Sierota farms a tiny estate near Lari in picturesque Tuscany, where vines roam wild in between forests and olive groves. She works with ancient local grapes in the aim to revive traditions and forgotten varieties. The 'Tutu' is what the French call 'Vin de Gôut'. Meaning after fermentation there was no pressing and only the pure juice was used. As 2022 was a warm vintage Marta opted for this technique so not to over extract. Liqueur soaked cherries, lend to fresh blackberry fruit, dried herbs and foody textural tannins.

Rim Sarau Tinto 2020, Catalunya, Spain
The Sarau is Jordi Esteve's flagship red made in the remote village of Rabós d'Empordà not far from the border with France. This is a blend of local Cariñena and Garnatxa Negra and the wine is aged in used American oak. The fruit is inky but bright with spice and toasty notes to match. Think black plums, earthy undertones and rosemary spice. Great food companion.
